STAR SHINE HLDG Swings to Profit in First-Half Results

STAR SHINE HLDG (01440) has released its interim results for the six months ended June 30, 2026, reporting a turnaround to profitability as the company posted a net profit attributable to shareholders of RMB 24.249 million, compared with a loss in the same period last year.

The group generated revenue of RMB 163 million during the period, a decrease of 43.59% year-on-year. The company recorded a profit attributable to owners of RMB 24.249 million, versus a loss of RMB 22.511 million in the prior corresponding period. Earnings per share stood at RMB 1.92 cents.

According to the company's announcement, the positive performance was driven by the strong contributions from its IP merchandise segment, which delivered a profit of approximately RMB 11 million, alongside a fair value gain of approximately RMB 27.3 million from the group's strategic investments. As a result, the group achieved a net profit of approximately RMB 24.2 million for the interim period, reversing the net loss of approximately RMB 22.5 million recorded in the six months ended June 30, 2025.
