According to team members from Zhiyuan who competed, the 100-meter hurdles event serves as an intense test of a humanoid robot's comprehensive athletic capabilities, with the competition focusing on five core abilities: high-speed mobility, dynamic balance, real-time perception and navigation, complex terrain traversal, and full-body posture adaptation.
The track featured multiple obstacles such as steps, narrow passages, and uneven surfaces, requiring the robot to simultaneously execute actions like dodging barriers, leaping over obstacles, and passing through confined spaces while maintaining high-speed movement. This presented rigorous demands on the robot's overall hardware explosive power, joint dynamic output, and motion control algorithms.
The Zhiyuan Lingxi X2 competed in its mass-production version with no modifications to its body.
