XPeng Motors (09868/XPEV.US) has initiated its 2026 campus recruitment drive, projected as the most extensive AI talent acquisition in this year's graduate hiring cycle. Focused squarely on cutting-edge domains like smart driving and AI large models, the campaign follows the automaker's earlier plan to recruit 6,000 employees by adding 2,000 new positions. Notably, vacancies in autonomous driving technology have surged, with numerous roles targeting AI large-model development.

Chairman and CEO He Xiaopeng disclosed that XPeng's workforce will approach 30,000 by year-end. Highlighting strategic talent cultivation, he emphasized intensified recruitment of exceptional undergraduates alongside ongoing expansion of the "Explorer Program" – an initiative designed to incubate young internal talent and accelerate career development for emerging professionals within the organization.

Previously at a public forum, He revealed substantial AI investments including nearly 20,000 GPUs dedicated to large-model training, with annual expenditures in artificial intelligence approaching RMB 5 billion. He articulated strong conviction in the transformative potential of physical-world AI applications. This direction aligns with his stated decade-long strategy to fuse AI innovation with mass manufacturing, positioning XPeng as the vanguard of AI-integrated automotive enterprises.
