Shenzhen Investment Holdings Bay Area Development Company Limited (Bay Area Dev) disclosed that its 51%-owned subsidiary, Shenzhen Guangshen Coastal Expressway Investment Company Limited (Coastal Company), has invested a total of RMB510.00 million in two principal-guaranteed structured deposits issued by China Zheshang Bank (CZ Bank).

Coastal Company subscribed to Structured Deposit Product A on 10 July 2026, allocating RMB250.00 million for a 92-day term beginning 13 July 2026. The instrument offers variable annualised yields of 1.0%, 1.9% or 2.3%, while guaranteeing full principal repayment.

On 21 September 2026, the subsidiary committed a further RMB260.00 million to Structured Deposit Product B, an 83-day vehicle commencing 23 September 2026 with potential annualised returns of 0.95%, 1.85% or 2.30%, also on a principal-protected basis.

Aggregated under Hong Kong Listing Rules 14.22 and 14.23(1), the combined RMB510.00 million (approximately 0.51 billion) placement exceeds the 5% but remains below the 25% threshold for applicable percentage ratios, classifying the transaction as “discloseable” and subject only to announcement and notification requirements—shareholder approval is not required.

Management cited the short-term deployment of surplus cash into low-risk, principal-protected products as a means to enhance capital efficiency and returns while maintaining safety. CZ Bank, the issuer, is an independent third party to Bay Area Dev and is listed in both Hong Kong (H shares) and Shanghai (A shares).
