Best Pacific Restores Public Float as FMR LLC Cuts Stake Below 10%

Best Pacific International Holdings Limited announced that it has reinstated compliance with Hong Kong’s minimum public float requirement after FMR LLC reduced its shareholding in the company.

On 20 August 2026, FMR LLC disposed of approximately 0.35 million shares of Best Pacific on-exchange, equivalent to 0.03% of the company’s issued share capital. The transaction trimmed FMR LLC’s interest from 10.01% to 9.98%, leaving it with 103.75 million shares. Falling below the 10% threshold means FMR LLC is no longer classified as a “substantial shareholder” or “core connected person” under Hong Kong Listing Rules, allowing its entire stake to be counted as public float.

Following the reclassification, shares held by public investors—including FMR LLC’s 103.75 million shares—total 279.12 million, representing 26.84% of Best Pacific’s issued share capital. This exceeds the 25% minimum stipulated in Listing Rule 13.32B(1), fully rectifying the shortfall first disclosed on 12 August 2026.

The board confirmed that the public float requirement is now met. The announcement was signed by Chairman and Executive Director Lu Yuguang on 21 August 2026.
