Want Want China Adds 2.00 Million-Share Buyback on 24 Aug; Month-to-Date Repurchases Rise to 15.43 Million

Want Want China Holdings Limited disclosed a further share repurchase of 2.00 million ordinary shares on 24 August 2026 via on-market transactions at HKD 3.26–3.31 each, spending HKD 6.57 million. The shares are earmarked for cancellation.

Including purchases made on 17–21 August (totalling 13.43 million shares at volume-weighted average prices of HKD 3.24–3.31), the company has bought back 15.43 million shares in August, equivalent to approximately 0.13% of its 11.75 billion issued shares.

All repurchases were executed under the mandate approved on 26 August 2025, which permits the company to buy back up to 1.18 billion shares. Cumulative purchases under this mandate now stand at 66.15 million shares, representing 0.56% of the share count on the mandate date.

Under Hong Kong listing rules, Want Want China is subject to a 30-day moratorium on issuing new shares following the latest repurchase, lasting until 23 September 2026.
