4月10日，香港金管局宣布批出首批稳定币牌照，分别由碇点金融科技有限公司和 汇丰 银行获得，其中碇点金融是由渣打银行、香港电讯和安拟集团合组的公司。
稳定币牌照即日生效，标志着香港稳定币监管制度进入新阶段。
金管局表示，两家持牌发行人均计划在首阶段发行港元稳定币，他们计划的业务场景涵盖跨境支付、本地支付、代币化资产交易及供应链融资等创新应用四大方向。例如：利用自身的国际网络与业务基础为企业和个人提供高效、低成本的跨境支付服务，并在香港推动安全、快捷的本地支付与结算体验。合规稳定币将作为代币化资产交易的结算工具，提升市场流动性，并探索作为抵押品管理的应用场景；此外，也将发挥可编程特性，开发条件式支付、供应链融资等创新应用。
