The Center for Agricultural Product Quality and Safety of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs recently released the second batch of the 2026 National Prestigious, Specialty, Premium and Novel Agricultural Product List and the National Specialty Agricultural Product List. A total of 22 products from Hebei Province were successfully selected for the National Prestigious, Specialty, Premium and Novel Agricultural Product List, while 13 products were included in the National Specialty Agricultural Product List. To date, Hebei Province has cumulatively recognized 267 national prestigious, specialty, premium and novel agricultural products and 208 national specialty agricultural products, injecting new vitality into the high-quality development of green and premium agricultural products across the province.
Prestigious, specialty, premium and novel agricultural products refer to agricultural products and primary processed products that are produced within specific regions, possess distinctive regional characteristics and unique nutritional quality features, have a certain production scale and stable supply volume, enjoy high market recognition and reputation, and have been recognized and certified by the Center for Agricultural Product Quality and Safety of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs. Specialty agricultural products refer to agricultural products that originate from specific production environment conditions, possess stable, perceivable, identifiable and quantifiable unique quality characteristics, have a certain production scale, maintain a stable supply volume and consumer base, and have been recognized by the Center for Agricultural Product Quality and Safety of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs.
The 22 products from Hebei Province selected for this batch of the National Prestigious, Specialty, Premium and Novel Agricultural Product List are: Luquan Chinese toon, Caofeidian salt field shrimp, Fengnan black pork, Fengnan Heiyanzi prawns, Qian'an chestnuts, Lulong grapes, Hanshan cherry tomatoes, Shexian wild jujube kernels, Feixiang oyster mushrooms, Yongnian garlic, Quzhou round eggplant, Quzhou cabbage, Nandabao cauliflower, Neiqiu County wild jujube kernels, Neiqiu County wild jujube kernel powder, Neiqiu wild jujube sprout tea, Mancheng apricots, Fuping yellow peaches, Fuping black pigs, Wanquan black horse lotus chives, Botou mulberries, and Huanghua drought-alkali wheat.
According to reports, the products selected from Hebei Province in this batch cover a rich variety of categories, including edible fungi, fresh fruits and vegetables, livestock and poultry, aquatic products, and medicinal and edible Chinese herbal medicines, spanning multiple locations such as Shijiazhuang, Tangshan, Qinhuangdao, Handan, Xingtai, Baoding, Zhangjiakou, Hengshui, and Cangzhou.
In recent years, Hebei Province has continued to explore and cultivate county-level specialty agricultural products, strengthen quality and safety control of agricultural products, and build up the "Hebei brand" of agricultural products. The successful recognition of this batch of products will further enrich Hebei Province's reserve of national prestigious, specialty, premium and novel agricultural products, provide brand support for enterprises participating in national production and sales matching and expanding into markets outside the province, help improve the quality and efficiency of county-level specialty industries, and drive increased income for farmers.
