PROSPER CONS (06816) announced that the Qingdao municipal government recently released the "Medium-term Plan for Qingdao International Shipping Center Construction and 2035 Vision Goals." The plan proposes to build a Qingdao International Shipping Center that serves the Yellow River Basin, coordinates eastern, central and western regions, faces the Asia-Pacific, and connects Belt and Road Initiative countries. The initiative aims to fully leverage Qingdao's geographical advantages, promote intelligent green development transformation, implement integrated development of shipping, trade and finance, and comprehensively enhance shipping service standards.
The company's controlling shareholder, Qingdao Haifa National Capital Investment and Operation Group Co., Ltd., has responded to this plan and announced active participation in shipping logistics and international trade industry investment empowerment development. Through business synergy, the group aims to create an industrial ecosystem featuring coordinated development of "shipping warehousing logistics, international cross-border trade, and supply chain financial services."
The group launched cross-border trade business at the beginning of this year, involving importing raw materials from Indonesia domestically and exporting electronic consumer goods from China. The group will continue to expand procurement and sales networks, focusing on exports of smart home appliances and new energy vehicles, while developing imports of agricultural raw materials, minerals and other specialty products from Southeast Asia and South Asia Belt and Road regions, committed to building a cross-border trade centralized procurement center.
Based on the above developments, and with Haifa Group as the group's existing business partner, the board believes the group has gained an early advantage and can derive significant benefits from the business opportunities that this plan will generate. The company will also formulate targeted development strategies in response to this plan.
