At the 2026 Boao Real Estate Forum, held from August 11-14 in Hainan under the theme "Waves and Growth," Liu Aiming, Chairman of Zhongcheng New Industry Holdings Group, highlighted the increasingly close connection between real estate and industrial parks.
He noted that in the past, urbanization was driven primarily by population concentration. However, going forward, growth momentum is likely to come more from industry, particularly industrial clusters spawned by new productive forces. While successful examples remain limited, jobs depend on industry, without which consumption and home purchases are impossible.
Liu argued that regardless of how industries evolve, they ultimately require people to sustain them, as nothing else can continue without human support. Therefore, future real estate developers must focus not only on land and planning but also on studying industry flows and cluster patterns, seizing new opportunities arising from industrial relocation. This may represent the new driving force for the real estate sector.
