Several education stocks advanced in the afternoon session. As of press time, China Education Group (ASX: 00839) rose 5.75% to HK$2.115, XJ International Holdings (ASX: 01765) gained 4.58% to HK$0.137, Tianli International Holdings (ASX: 01773) climbed 3.95% to HK$0.79, and New Oriental-S (ASX: 09901) was up 1.00% at HK$44.62.

On the news front, the Hunan Provincial Department of Education recently issued a notice on strengthening AI education in primary and secondary schools, mandating that starting from the fall semester of 2026, all schools across the province will broadly offer general AI education with no fewer than 8 class hours per academic year. Additionally, Qingyuan in Guangdong is piloting a twelve-year through-train training program that eliminates the high school entrance exam as a tracking mechanism.

Guolian Minsheng Securities released a research report stating that the education industry is expected to welcome a "three-dimensional resonance" of marginal policy improvement, industry supply clearing, and demand release. The investment logic for the sector has shifted from policy-driven to performance-driven, and with relatively low valuations, the industry is poised for a "Davis double play" in earnings and valuation supported by policy momentum. Meanwhile, education is a key application scenario for AI, with "AI+Education" serving as the main investment theme, and leading education companies are expected to benefit from the development of AI+Education.
