At the 2025 Guangzhou International Auto Show on November 21, William Li, Founder, Chairman, and CEO of NIO Inc., revealed plans for a golf match with actor Wallace Chung, likely to take place in Shenzhen.
When discussing the Hong Kong market, Li stated that NIO is actively preparing to optimize its application products and equipment while coordinating with partners like Onvo (formerly known as "Ledao") on related initiatives. Although Onvo's user-related matters require additional time, Li emphasized efforts to expedite these plans.
Earlier during the event, Wallace Chung, a prospective owner of NIO's new ES8, made an appearance, noting that his vehicle delivery is still pending. Li humorously remarked that his own car is also scheduled for delivery next year.
Li confirmed he would personally hand over the car to Chung, and the two agreed to play golf afterward. Noticing Chung's enthusiastic fans at the event, Li jokingly urged them to "place their orders quickly."
