On the first day of the National Day holiday, four direct flights between Fuzhou and Taiwan carried a total of 535 passengers, according to Fuzhou Airport Immigration Inspection Station on October 2.
Among these travelers, 375 were Taiwanese compatriots, with 137 of them using the express lane for customs clearance.
On October 1, the station processed over 4,800 inbound and outbound passengers. Outbound travelers were mainly headed to Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, and Southeast Asian countries such as Singapore and Malaysia for short trips, while inbound passengers were primarily returning home for family visits or business purposes.
The station forecasts that during the National Day holiday from October 1 to 7, passenger volume at Fuzhou Airport Port is expected to reach nearly 34,700, with a daily average of 4,900 passengers.
The peak is anticipated on October 4, with single-day traffic reaching 5,500 passengers.
Fuzhou Changle International Airport's Terminal 2 officially opened on September 16.
Chen Junying, an instructor with the station's Second Duty Team, noted that this is the first National Day holiday since Terminal 2 began operations, and passenger flow at Fuzhou Airport Port has hit a peak, with smart immigration facilities and flexible duty models playing a key role.
To handle the holiday surge, the station has leveraged Terminal 2's upgraded smart immigration equipment to implement an "intelligent diversion plus flexible lanes" inspection model.
The inspection area deeply integrates technologies such as facial recognition, big data analysis, and biometric comparison, and is equipped with smart inspection systems and self-service printers for entry and exit record certificates.
