On September 28, the "Agricultural Wholesale Price 200 Index" stood at 115.80, a decrease of 0.17 points from the pre-holiday level (September 24, same below), according to monitoring by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs.

The "Vegetable Basket" product wholesale price index came in at 116.11, down 0.44 points from before the holiday.

As of 14:00 today, the average price of pork at wholesale agricultural markets nationwide was 16.44 yuan per kilogram, up 0.6% from before the holiday; beef was 72.02 yuan per kilogram, down 0.5%; mutton was 66.99 yuan per kilogram, down 0.4%; eggs were 10.67 yuan per kilogram, down 3.1%; and dressed chicken was 17.28 yuan per kilogram, down 0.5%.

The average price of the 28 vegetables under key monitoring was 4.40 yuan per kilogram, down 2.2% from before the holiday; the average price of the 6 fruits under key monitoring was 6.66 yuan per kilogram, up 0.8%.

Crucian carp was 19.42 yuan per kilogram, down 0.1%; common carp was 13.83 yuan per kilogram, up 0.7%; silver carp was 10.04 yuan per kilogram, up 0.8%; and large hairtail was 41.32 yuan per kilogram, down 2.1%.

Among the 46 varieties of fresh and live agricultural products under key monitoring at wholesale markets today, the top five price gainers compared with before the holiday were Fuji apples, pineapples, Chinese chives, onions, and bighead carp, with increases of 3.3%, 1.3%, 1.2%, 1.1%, and 1.1%, respectively; the top five price decliners were spinach, zucchini, lettuce, cucumbers, and lotus root, with decreases of 6.3%, 6.2%, 5.4%, 5.3%, and 4.7%, respectively.
