The vehicle is equipped with a full-scenario tire blowout stability system covering complex scenarios like single-wheel, dual-wheel, and cornering blowouts. A Driver Incapacity Assist System can proactively take safety measures if the driver experiences sudden physical discomfort, providing more comprehensive safety protection for global users.
Global Expansion of Advanced Intelligent Driving
From being among the first to achieve highway intelligent assisted driving to being among the first to implement urban Navigation Guided Pilot in over 200 cities, XPeng has consistently led the direction of the intelligent driving industry.
In March of this year, XPeng's Turing AI Driving, equipped with the second-generation VLA model, began mass delivery to users. In its first month, assisted driving accounted for over 50% of mileage, setting a new benchmark.
Notably, XPeng's Turing second-generation VLA model enables a single model architecture to cover both L2 assisted driving and L4 autonomous driving. L4-level XPeng Robotaxis equipped with this model have officially commenced internal employee testing, marking another key step in XPeng's Physical AI development.
Recently, He Xiaopeng, Chairman and CEO of XPeng Group, and Liu Xianming, Head of the General Intelligence Center, completed localization acceptance tests for XPeng Turing AI Driving in Germany. This model, trained on Chinese road conditions, demonstrated high adaptability and stability in Europe, requiring almost no additional data training to handle urban arterials, narrow alleys, sharp curves, and perform autonomous detours and smooth pedestrian avoidance.
For Europe's complex right-of-way rules and road environments, XPeng Turing AI Driving has been enhanced with a focus on pedestrian priority, traffic sign recognition, and understanding implicit traffic rules. XPeng is the first Chinese company to use the "same model architecture" for both China and Europe, accelerating mass production adaptation for the European market.
Liu Xianming pointed out that autonomous driving is fundamentally a problem of Physical AI, and understanding the operating laws of the real physical world is precisely the starting point for XPeng's Turing second-generation VLA model. Unlike traditional solutions reliant on high-definition maps and preset rules, this model, based on its understanding of the physical world, allows vehicles to perceive unfamiliar road conditions, understand scene semantics, and make more flexible driving decisions like a human. It constructs a reinforcement learning loop through "VLA + World Model" to achieve continuous understanding of the real physical world and optimization of driving decisions.
Liu summarized the relationship between the World Model and VLA as "two sides of the same coin," where different training signals mutually enhance each other to improve the model's comprehension and action capabilities in the real world.
To address the challenge of insufficient overseas training data, XPeng uses the World Model to generate realistic, continuous, and physically consistent training data, significantly improving the model's generalization ability across different countries and road environments globally.
For overseas markets, XPeng has integrated Google Maps services, using the Auto SDK to create a native in-car navigation experience more aligned with overseas user habits, becoming the first automaker in the Asia-Pacific region to achieve this depth of cooperation. Localized intelligent driving, multilingual intelligent cockpit, and local navigation ecosystems together form XPeng's complete intelligent capability system, with the goal of gradually delivering intelligent assisted driving systems better suited to local road environments to global users starting in 2027.
Deepening Global R&D and Operations
A product truly designed for the global market requires not only competitiveness but also long-term support in R&D, manufacturing, supply chain, service, and ecosystem. Centered on global development, XPeng continues to advance localized capability building, constructing R&D, production, and operational systems to support the global implementation of its Physical AI capabilities.
Taking the European market as an example, XPeng adheres to the "In Europe, For Europe" development philosophy, continuously improving local R&D, production, sales, and service capabilities. XPeng's ultra-fast charging network covers 31 countries and regions, with access to over 2.7 million charging piles, providing a more convenient new energy travel experience for global users.
As its global footprint deepens, XPeng is expanding its Physical AI capabilities from smart cars to more physical scenarios. Focusing on three directions—AI cars, robots, and flying cars—all three share XPeng's full-stack, in-house developed Physical AI technology foundation, using unified AI capabilities to drive the development of different intelligent terminals.
Among these, XPeng's humanoid robot, built on eight years of technical积累, has made continuous breakthroughs in areas like highly human-like form, automotive-grade safety and mass-production capability, and on-device AI capabilities. It is planned to enter global commercial scenarios in 2027. XPeng's flying car has accumulated over 7,000 orders, and the company has built the world's first flying car factory with a planned annual capacity of 10,000 units, accelerating progress towards scaled mass production.
Moving forward, XPeng will continue to increase R&D investment, promoting its Physical AI technology from China to the world, enabling artificial intelligence to land in more real-world scenarios, and delivering safer, more efficient, and smarter future experiences for global users.
