近日，高盛将标普500指数的年末目标点位从6600点上调至6800点。以该指数最新收盘价计算，仍有2%的上涨空间。高盛表示，上调目标主要基于两方面原因：美联储政策立场趋于温和，以及企业盈利表现具备韧性。在上周五发布的报告中，高盛还将标普500指数的6个月及12个月回报预期分别上调至5%和8%，按此推算，对应指数点位将分别达到7000点和7200点。
此前一周，美联储自去年12月以来首次实现降息，并表示随着劳动力市场逐步降温，计划在10月和12月进一步降息。
高盛仍预测这两次会议均将采取25个基点的降息幅度，这一观点也得到了多数华尔街大行的认同。
今年早些时候，在美国总统唐纳德・特朗普4月推出"解放日"关税政策后，市场对经济衰退的担忧加剧，引发全球股市抛售潮，各大行纷纷将标普500指数目标点位下调至6000点以下。
但此后，关税政策的松绑以及美联储宽松预期的升温缓解了投资者焦虑，降低了衰退风险，推动股市创下历史新高。据标普全球数据，标普500指数自4月8日的低点已累计上涨超30%，并在7月至9月间多次刷新收盘纪录，截至9月初最新收盘价已达6693.75点。
