基因治疗公司MeiraGTx近日正式完成对Botaretigene Sparoparvovec（简称Bota-Vec）疗法的收购，该疗法主要针对X连锁视网膜色素变性（XLRP）的治疗研发。此次收购标志着MeiraGTx在眼科基因治疗领域的重要战略布局。
Bota-Vec作为针对XLRP的潜在基因治疗手段，有望为患有该罕见遗传性视网膜疾病的患者提供新的治疗选择。X连锁视网膜色素变性会导致进行性视力丧失，目前尚无有效治疗方法。
通过此次收购，MeiraGTx将进一步巩固其在视网膜疾病基因治疗研发领域的领先地位。公司表示将加速推进Bota-Vec的临床开发进程，尽早为患者带来创新治疗方案。
