Central Bank to Issue 600 Billion Yuan in Six-Month Bills

The People's Bank of China will issue the third series of central bank bills for 2026 through the Hong Kong Monetary Authority's Central Moneymarkets Unit (CMU) bond bidding platform on Wednesday, March 25, 2026. These six-month (182-day) bills are fixed-rate interest-bearing bonds, with principal and interest payable at maturity. The total issuance amount is 60 billion yuan. The value date is set for March 27, 2026, and the maturity date is September 25, 2026. Should the maturity date fall on a holiday, it will be postponed to the next business day.
