美国超微公司 （AMD）正在与塔塔咨询服务公司合作，将这家美国芯片制造商最新的人工智能数据中心技术引入印度，在这个全球增长最快的市场之一与英伟达公司展开竞争。
两家公司周一在声明中表示，AMD将提供其Helios数据中心架构蓝图，并与TCS合作，在印度支持最高200兆瓦的AI基础设施容量。该公告恰逢该南亚国家举行技术峰会，AMD首席执行官苏姿丰预计将出席。
印度在快速扩展技术方面拥有成熟经验——尽管错过了个人电脑浪潮，但成为软件服务强国，并在不到二十年内从有限的固定电话跨越至近10亿部智能手机。根据斯坦福大学以人为本人工智能研究所的数据，在AI竞争力方面，印度全球排名第三，仅次于美国和中国。
AMD在印度的推进凸显了更广泛的战略，即向竞相建设本地算力能力的政府和企业提供端到端AI基础设施。
TCS去年年底宣布计划进入数据中心领域，目标容量最高达1.2吉瓦。
据Arista Networks称，AMD正在从英伟达手中夺取AI市场份额。这家AMD合作伙伴上周表示，目前约20%至25%的芯片部署流向AMD，而2025年约99%的AI芯片部署仍属于英伟达。
苏姿丰在周一声明中表示：“AI应用正从试点加速迈向大规模部署，这一转变需要全新的计算基础设施蓝图。与TCS合作，我们正帮助印度各地企业今天就实现规模化部署AI，同时构建面向未来的算力基础。”
