The company officially revealed that its Robotaxi fleet has integrated space-time DaoYu's satellite IoT communication technology and terminal products, making it the world's first mobility platform to scale the application of low earth orbit satellite communication technology in Robotaxi operations. During the conference, Geely Holding Group Chairman Li Shufu, who was invited to speak, stated that CAOCAO INC serves as the group’s most important commercial carrier for Robotaxi. The press conference focused on demonstrating key breakthroughs in communication technology for the CAOCAO INC Robotaxi fleet. CAOCAO INC's CTO Qiang Qi and space-time DaoYu's CTO Ding Sheng were present to share insights into the technical implementation details, strategic significance, and future collaboration directions. By integrating space-time DaoYu’s satellite IoT communication technology and terminal products, vehicles can maintain a stable connection with the operations center even in areas with unstable or interrupted 4G/5G signals, reporting vehicle location and trip status. CTO Qiang Qi further elucidated the value of satellite communication in Robotaxi operations, stating, “Safety is a prerequisite for commercializing autonomous driving and the foundation of user trust. CTO Ding Sheng pointed out, “The future of intelligent mobility relies on the support of an integrated information network spanning the sky and ground. The ‘Geely Constellation’ established by space-time DaoYu aims to provide critical information infrastructure for intelligent transportation. Currently, the ‘Geely Constellation’ has realized real-time coverage of 1 to 2 satellite communications within the latitude range of 60°N to 60°S.
