Prudential announces latest share repurchase and capital update

Prudential plc announced that it cancelled 291,893 ordinary shares on Feb, 27 2026, equal to about 0.0115 % of its issued share capital. The shares had been bought on Feb, 25 2026 at an average price of roughly 11.27 per share.

On Feb, 27 2026, the company also repurchased another 304,099 shares on the London Stock Exchange for cancellation, paying between 11.26 and 11.53 per share. The aggregate consideration for this transaction was approximately 5.9 million Singapore dollars, and the shares will be cancelled after settlement.

Following the cancellation on Feb, 27 2026, Prudential’s issued share capital stands at 2,535,832,202 ordinary shares. A further 556,302 shares repurchased on Feb, 26 2026 and Feb, 27 2026 remain to be cancelled.

Since the current buy-back mandate was approved on May, 14 2025, the company has repurchased 71,165,593 shares, utilising about 2.73 % of the 262,668,701 shares authorised for repurchase. Under exchange rules, Prudential may not issue new shares until Mar, 29 2026.
