Shexian Jinyu Cement Co., Ltd. has been named one of Hebei Province's second batch of advanced smart factories for 2025, recognizing its achievements in intelligent transformation and digital upgrading. This accolade highlights the company's progress in leveraging digital intelligence technologies to drive production innovation, enhance operational efficiency, and promote green, low-carbon development.
At the company's command and control center, the smart operations management platform displays real-time data on energy consumption and equipment performance. Yang Lixin, head of the equipment management department, and his team analyze this data to optimize production scheduling.
Yang pointed to the large screen, explaining, "This is our EMS energy management system, which collects and analyzes data throughout cement production, transportation, storage, and usage, enabling comprehensive monitoring and management. Since its implementation, our coal consumption per ton of clinker has dropped to just 87.3 kg, surpassing the national first-tier standard."
The energy management system is just one core module of the smart operations platform. The platform integrates AI and big data to oversee production, energy, equipment, and quality control. Sensors installed at key production points enable real-time monitoring and intelligent analysis of processes like raw material processing and clinker calcination, shifting production management from experience-based to data-driven decision-making.
Precise and comprehensive data also supports intelligent decision-making. In 2023, the company introduced a kiln-grinding expert system that continuously monitors cement production and autonomously adjusts critical parameters such as current, temperature, and airflow, ensuring stable and safe operations.
Beyond production, the company's smart solutions extend to logistics management. Trucks entering or exiting the facility simply swipe cards at the gate, allowing the system to automatically record cargo data, streamlining processes and improving efficiency.
Wang Kai, assistant manager of Shexian Jinyu Cement, stated, "Moving forward, we will continue to align with national smart manufacturing policies, deepening the application of AI and IoT technologies to fuel high-quality development."
