过去12个月的PCE通胀率持稳于2.8%。核心年率则从3.1%微降至3%。
美联储设定的PCE通胀目标为2%，但该目标已被超出约五年之久。周三公布的美联储3月会议纪要显示，政策制定者在伊朗战争背景下担忧通胀可能需要更长时间才能受控，这进一步印证了持续通胀已令美联储感到挫败。
商务部周四数据同时显示，美国个人收入出现下滑，环比下降0.1%，低于经济学家预期的0.3%增幅。个人支出则表现强劲，环比增长0.5%。
