特朗普在社交平台发文表示：“我很高兴地宣布，我们正在对进入美国的家具进行重大的关税调查。在接下来的50天内，调查将完成。届时，从其他国家进入美国的家具将被征收尚未确定税率的关税。”
他强调，此举将有助于把家具制造业务带回北卡罗来纳、南卡罗来纳、密歇根等州，以及整个美国本土。
受该消息影响，美国高端家具零售商RH在盘后交易中一度下跌超9%；美国家居电商平台Wayfair盘后同样一度跌超9%，反映出投资者对潜在贸易政策变化的高度敏感。
