The China-Singapore (Chongqing) Demonstration Initiative on Strategic Connectivity has pioneered an innovative cooperation model over the past decade, breaking away from traditional industrial park frameworks to foster regional integration across finance, logistics, and digital innovation.

Launched in November 2015 as the third intergovernmental collaboration between China and Singapore, the project has achieved 33 pioneering institutional reforms and established five key connectivity channels: 1. **New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor**: Extending to 127 countries and 581 ports, reducing logistics time by 15 days and costs by 25% for routes like Chongqing-Peru Chancay. 2. **Cross-border Financing**: Facilitating $23.99 billion in cross-border financing and $20 billion in investments, including Asia’s first outlet mall REIT and a Sino-Singapore digital trade finance platform. 3. **Data Connectivity**: The Chongqing-Singapore International Data Channel boosts cross-border data transmission efficiency by over 300%, supporting 10+ industries in international collaboration. 4. **Aviation Links**: Flight frequency between Chongqing and Singapore surged from 5 to 24 weekly flights, with passenger traffic quintupling. 5. **People-to-People Exchanges**: Mutual tourism flourished, with Singaporean overnight visitors to Chongqing increasing sevenfold.

**Expanding Impact** - **Regional Reach**: Beyond Chongqing, the project has enabled $6.3 billion in cross-border financing for 10 western Chinese provinces and propelled ASEAN trade with western China to over ¥1 trillion (+75.3% since inception). - **Green and Digital Focus**: Future collaboration will emphasize green finance, low-carbon logistics, and digital economy integration, leveraging Chongqing’s AI and smart city advancements alongside Singapore’s tech expertise.

**Vision for 2030** Aimed at becoming a global benchmark for digital trade and sustainable development, the initiative seeks to deepen industrial synergies and deliver tangible benefits to businesses and communities, reinforcing its role as a flagship BRI project.
