On August 15, Meituan's Green Mountain Plan released its eight-year progress report. As of the end of July 2025, over 2.6 million merchants have established "Merchant Green Mountain Profiles," with more than 520 million Meituan delivery users having utilized the "no utensils needed" function, generating over 10 billion related orders. Additionally, Meituan's Green Mountain Plan has implemented large-scale waste sorting and food container recycling projects across 24 cities in 20 provinces nationwide, cumulatively recovering over 37,000 tons of plastic food containers.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of the concept "lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets." Guided by this philosophy, Meituan pioneered the Green Mountain Plan in August 2017, becoming the first in the industry to launch an initiative aimed at promoting green industry development and supporting environmental protection.
Looking ahead, Meituan's Green Mountain Plan has established "2030 Goals," which will promote green packaging applications, enhance plastic recycling and reuse levels, and build a "everyone participates" green consumption ecosystem. The company aims to work together with merchants and consumers to create "better living, more beautiful nature."
