On August 29th, China Zheshang Bank held its 2025 semi-annual results briefing. Chen Haiqiang, Vice Party Secretary, Executive Director, and President of China Zheshang Bank (acting as Chairman), delivered opening remarks stating that since the beginning of this year, China's economy has maintained steady progress overall, and the banking industry's development has shown marginal improvement. However, the sector also faces a market environment characterized by low growth, low demand, and low interest rate spreads, with increasingly intense homogeneous competition, bringing new opportunities and challenges for more stable and higher-quality development in the banking industry.

Chen Haiqiang noted that how to reshape the resilience of high-quality development in the low interest rate era is an important issue that requires deep consideration and addressing.

Chen Haiqiang stated that while China Zheshang Bank's overall operating performance in the first half of the year faced certain pressures, it was generally in line with expectations and market trends. "We must be realistic and objective, correctly viewing both the achievements made and the shortcomings that exist in the first half of the year," Chen Haiqiang said.
