MetaOptics Ltd (9MT) said on Mar, 20 2026 that it has promoted Aloysius Chua Hao Peng to Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer, effective Mar, 1 2026. Chua, formerly Deputy CEO, joined the company in 2021 and will continue to oversee operations, supply-chain management and the work of two PhD scientists hired in Aug, 2025.

The previous CEO, Executive Chairman Thng Chong Kim, will stay on in his current board role, focusing on strategic oversight, research and development projects such as the tunable metalens module, partnership initiatives including Stanford Engineering’s SystemX Alliance program, and plans for a United States fabrication facility.

Separately, the company has circulated materials for an extraordinary general meeting to seek shareholder approval for a potential listing on the Nasdaq Stock Market and the related issuance of American Depositary Shares. JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A. has been appointed depositary for the ADS programme, and two underwriters have been engaged in the United States.

Management said a Nasdaq listing would broaden access to international investors and support MetaOptics’ expansion, which includes four core business lines: Metalens Equipment, Metalens Foundry, Metalens Products and AI Algorithms.

The announcements follow a year of higher revenue in FY2025, driven by increased sales of equipment and metalens products and expanded R&D activity, the company added.
