CH DISPLAY OPT’s 2025 ESG Report: Production Expansion, Stronger Governance and Lower Emissions

China Display Optoelectronics Technology Holdings Limited (CH DISPLAY OPT) released its 2025 Environmental, Social and Governance Report, detailing strengthened corporate governance, capacity upgrades and measurable environmental progress during a year of revenue and profit growth.

Governance & Strategy • The board-level Sustainability Committee now oversees all ESG matters, integrating risk assessment and target-setting into business planning. • Eight international management system certifications—including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001 and RBA 8.0—remain in force; the company also retained AEO accreditation and achieved UL 2799 “Platinum” zero-waste status. • A whistle-blowing framework and an expanded integrity policy underpin a “zero-tolerance” stance on corruption; no integrity cases or regulatory penalties were recorded in 2025.

Operational Highlights • Twelve blind-hole smartphone module lines and two fully automated tablet lines lifted monthly capacity to 4.80 million and 1.40 million pieces, respectively. • Automation ratio reached 92%, while an ERP-MES-SRM architecture was rolled out to improve traceability, inventory control and supplier collaboration. • Patent portfolio rose to 351 granted patents (35 inventions), with 25 new grants in 2025; ISO/IEC 27001 renewal confirmed zero major information-security incidents.

Environmental Performance • Electricity use increased 25.20% to 52.53 million kWh amid higher output, yet consumption per finished unit fell 30.60% to 0.59 kWh. • Scope 1 emissions dropped 45.60% to 233 tCO2e, while Scope 2 emissions rose 22.50% to 27,564 tCO2e; intensity per unit declined 32.20% to 309.30 gCO2e. • Water consumption rose to 328,333 tonnes, but intensity per unit improved 29.80% to 3,684 g. Wastewater recycling rate reached 90.00%. • Hazardous-waste intensity fell 30.00% to 0.10 g per unit; non-hazardous-waste intensity decreased 22.70% to 5.52 g per unit. • The company purchased 90,000 kWh of green electricity and identified projects that saved 4.94 million kWh. • Selected as one of Huizhou’s first “Zero Waste Factories” and earned the local “Green and Low-Carbon Development Award.”

Workforce & Safety • Headcount climbed to 4,009, with an average of 20 training hours per employee; turnover stood at 4.64%. • No work-related fatalities occurred; the minor-injury rate was 0%, and 203,000 hours of safety training were delivered. • All 341 occupational-hazard monitoring points passed third-party tests; 100% of at-risk employees received mandated medical checks.

Supply Chain & Product Quality • Active supplier base expanded to 247, over 80% located in mainland China; all are bound by the Code of Conduct and undergo ESG audits. • Customer return rate dropped 13%; no product recalls or safety incidents were reported. • Manufacturing defects linked to supplier components fell 15% after targeted audits and joint improvement programmes.

Community & Social Responsibility • Volunteers clocked 83.50 hours in community events focusing on environmental clean-ups and cultural promotion. • Equal holiday-benefit policies, upgraded dormitories and revamped canteen services lifted overall employee satisfaction scores to 94.

2026 Targets Key goals include a further 3% cut in greenhouse-gas intensity, a 5% reduction in water-use intensity and a 2% decrease in waste intensity, alongside continued automation and quality-improvement projects.

The board states that CH DISPLAY OPT will “balance sales growth with healthy development” while embedding ESG priorities across operations, supply chain and product life-cycle management.
