On July 24, the mascot unveiling and 30-day countdown ceremony for the 2026 Northeast Four Provinces' Rural and Beautiful Countryside Basketball League (Rural BA) was held in Hohhot. The mascot is named "Meng Xiaojun."

The league is set to begin on August 25 in Linxi County, Chifeng City. At that time, eight teams of farmers and herders from the four northeastern provinces—Heilongjiang, Jilin, Liaoning, and Inner Mongolia—will be divided into two groups, A and B, and compete using a single round-robin format followed by a knockout stage.

During the launch event, the organizing committee officially released the league's visual identity system and mascot. The mascot, "Meng Xiaojun," is inspired by the resilient and forward-moving Mongolian horse. It wears a green jersey adorned with traditional cloud patterns, depicting a dynamic dribbling pose that vividly embodies the spirit of hard work and perseverance, blending athletic energy with ethnic cultural heritage.

The league emblem incorporates elements like black soil, mountains, rivers, and horses, reflecting the shared regional identity of the four northeastern provinces, symbolizing interconnected landscapes, interdependence between agriculture and animal husbandry, and unity among the people. The league's theme slogan, "Colorful Land, Harmonious Together," was also announced at the same time.

During the league, the four northeastern provinces will simultaneously host an agricultural, cultural, tourism, and sports integration carnival, featuring rural cultural performances, intangible cultural heritage displays, and agricultural product exhibitions. A "Rural BA" platform for agricultural promotion will also be established, leveraging the event to attract crowds, expand sales channels, and invigorate industries.
