City Developments Limited announced on Dec, 02 2025 that its wholly owned subsidiary, Copthorne Hotel Holdings Limited, has purchased the 706-room Holiday Inn London – Kensington High Street for 280 million pounds (about 480.2 million Singapore dollars).
The freehold property occupies a 6,356-square-metre site near Kensington High Street and is expected to deliver a running yield of more than 6 percent. For the 12 months prior to the transaction, the hotel generated revenue exceeding 39 million pounds, supported by occupancy of over 97 percent for the nine months to Sep, 30 2025.
With this purchase, CDL’s Central London portfolio will exceed 3,000 rooms, including The Biltmore Mayfair, Millennium Hotel London Knightsbridge, Millennium Gloucester Hotel London, The Bailey’s Hotel London Kensington, The Chelsea Harbour Hotel and Spa, and Copthorne Tara Hotel London Kensington.
CDL noted that the deal aligns with its strategy of selectively acquiring rare, value-accretive assets while continuing its capital-recycling programme, which has secured around 1.9 billion Singapore dollars in divestments year-to-date.
