Liquidia Technologies Inc's stock soared 5.37% during pre-market trading on Monday, following the release of its first-quarter 2026 financial results.
The biopharmaceutical company reported a significant swing to profitability, with net income of $52.9 million compared to a net loss of $38.4 million in the same period last year. Diluted earnings per share came in at $0.52, beating analyst estimates of $0.41. Revenue surged to $132.9 million, also exceeding expectations of $116.68 million.
The strong performance was primarily driven by sales of YUTREPIA, the company's inhaled dry-powder formulation for pulmonary hypertension. Liquidia reported approximately $130 million in YUTREPIA net product sales, with more than 4,500 unique patient prescriptions and about 3,750 patients started on treatment since its launch. This marks the company's third consecutive quarter of profitability, with improved cash position and continued commercial uptake of its key product.
