On September 16, JD.com partnered with Guizhou Moutai to organize the "JD Wine Tasting Event." Attendees at this exclusive gathering will have the opportunity to sample what is being called the "world's most expensive coffee," priced at 5,699 yuan per cup. Previously, JD.com invested over 4 million yuan to acquire 20kg of BOP Geisha sun-dried coffee, which claimed the championship lot at auction. JD Supermarket plans to launch 16-gram portable packages of this premium coffee in mid-to-late September.
The event will also feature specialty mooncakes and super premium fruits for guests to enjoy, including an extraordinary watermelon weighing over 100 jin (approximately 50kg). Liu Qiangdong, founder and chairman of JD.com Group, will personally participate in the festivities by cutting the watermelon and engaging with attendees in an interactive session.
