China Literature Group has released its full-year financial report for 2025. According to the data, the company achieved annual revenue of 7.37 billion yuan, with a non-IFRS net profit attributable to shareholders of 860 million yuan.
During the reporting period, online reading revenue totaled 4.05 billion yuan, while licensing operations and other income reached 3.319 billion yuan. Under the "IP + AI" strategy, revenue from AI-generated comic series surged past the 100 million yuan mark. Gross merchandise volume for IP derivatives more than doubled year-over-year, exceeding 1.1 billion yuan.
Deep integration of AI technology has further accelerated China Literature's expansion into overseas markets. By the end of 2025, the company’s international reading platform, WebNovel, had accumulated over 17,000 AI-translated works. Overseas revenue increased by 39% year-over-year, contributing more than one-third of the platform’s total revenue and becoming a key driver of international growth.
Hou Xiaonan, CEO and President of China Literature, stated, "In 2025, our premium content ecosystem continued to demonstrate strong vitality, with two blockbuster works each achieving over 300,000 paid subscriptions for the first time, underscoring the powerful appeal of high-quality content. In IP operations, leveraging our extensive IP reserves and embracing innovative production methods and cutting-edge technologies, we have achieved remarkable results. We not only maintained leadership in traditional areas such as film, television, and animation but also made pioneering progress in rapidly emerging fields like short dramas and AI-generated comic series."
