The company announced that its subsidiary, Changfei Capital, has signed a partnership agreement with Wuhan Changfei Industry Fund Management Co., Ltd., Jiangcheng Industrial Investment Fund (Wuhan) Co., Ltd., Bi'an Science and Technology Innovation Investment Fund (Wuhan) Co., Ltd., and Ezhou Wue Collaborative Venture Capital Fund Partnership (Limited Partnership) to subscribe for limited partnership shares in the Changfei Smart Fund.
The Changfei Smart Fund has a total planned capital commitment of RMB 500 million (with the final scale subject to actual fundraising). Changfei Capital, as a limited partner, will contribute RMB 170 million from its own funds, representing 34.00% of the total fund size.
The fund is strategically focused on strategic emerging industries and future sectors, including artificial intelligence, high-end manufacturing, and semiconductors and integrated circuits. It will primarily invest in areas such as optoelectronic chips, optical interconnection, optical switching, intelligent terminal optical transmission, and related optical solutions. Additionally, it will expand into the AI and humanoid robot supply chains, seeking out companies with core technologies in smart sensing, robot bodies, control systems, and computing power.
Based in Hubei Province, the Changfei Smart Fund aims to deeply integrate into the local industrial development strategy, nurture high-quality local scientific innovation projects, introduce global innovation elements, and enhance the collaborative innovation system for optoelectronic information and intelligent equipment. This initiative is designed to help secure a leading position in the future industries of AI and humanoid robots.
