Easyknit International Holdings Limited has released supplemental details on its July 2026 open-market purchase of Best Food Group shares, clarifying the data underpinning the board’s positive assessment of the target company’s turnaround potential and strategic value.

Best Food Group’s 2025 operating metrics showed notable improvement. Total system sales reached RMB3,740.00 million, up 7 % year on year, while reported revenue came in at RMB399.20 million. The restaurant operator maintained a network of 1,149 stores, underscoring its nationwide scale in the Chinese catering market.

Profitability trends strengthened markedly. Net loss narrowed to RMB9.20 million for 2025 from RMB257.90 million a year earlier, reflecting the absorption of prior-year restructuring costs and store closures. On the balance-sheet side, net liabilities were reduced to RMB152.50 million as of 31 December 2025, down from RMB220.20 million, with the bulk of remaining obligations tied to IFRS 16 lease liabilities rather than bank debt.

Management also highlighted Best Food Group’s “investment + operational empowerment” model and its new “Shendianbao” partnership platform, which facilitate capital-light expansion and broaden the investment pipeline across multiple dining formats. The presence of Hony Capital—managing more than RMB120 billion in assets and acting as the company’s core institutional investor—was presented as an additional layer of strategic and governance support.

Easyknit International views the Best Food investment as a means to diversify its portfolio with an established consumer-sector asset poised for medium-term growth. The board characterised the acquisition price, executed at prevailing market levels, as fair and reasonable in light of the latest published financials and operational momentum.
