China SCE Group Holdings Limited reported that its court-convened Scheme Meeting held on 18 May 2026 secured decisive approval for the company’s proposed offshore debt restructuring plan.
At the meeting, 385 Scheme Creditors, representing an aggregate US$2.39 billion in Voting Scheme Claims, participated in person or by proxy. Of these, 381 creditors holding US$2.10 billion in claims—around 88.1% by value and 99.0% by number of those voting—supported the Scheme, surpassing the statutory thresholds required for approval.
With creditor consent obtained, the company will seek the Hong Kong High Court’s sanction of the Scheme at a hearing scheduled for 2:30 p.m. on 16 June 2026.
Scheme Creditors who have already elected their preferred form of Scheme Consideration have until 11:00 p.m. on 20 May 2026 to revise their elections, two business days after the Scheme Meeting’s conclusion.
China SCE stated it will release further announcements on material developments. Shareholders and potential investors are advised to exercise caution when dealing in the company’s securities.
