The clinical research organization reported quarterly adjusted earnings per share of $2.50, surpassing analyst estimates of $2.42. Revenue for the quarter reached $2.034 billion, also beating expectations of approximately $1.994 billion. The company highlighted strong commercial momentum, with net business wins of $2.88 billion and a robust net book-to-bill ratio of 1.42. Furthermore, Icon reaffirmed its full-year 2026 guidance, expecting revenue between $7.85 billion and $8.15 billion and adjusted diluted EPS in the range of $10.00 to $11.00.
CEO Barry Balfe attributed the performance to sustained win rates and the addition of new partnerships, expressing confidence in incremental progress throughout the year. The company's backlog also grew by 4% to $22.7 billion, signaling future revenue strength.
