Recently, 13 departments in Jiangsu Province, including the Provincial Health Commission and the Provincial Disease Control and Prevention Bureau, jointly issued an implementation plan for the "Five Health" Promotion Action Plan for Children and Adolescents (2026-2030). The plan outlines measures to deepen digital and intelligent health empowerment and explore the establishment of a smart "Five Health" screening platform. This initiative represents a vivid example of Jiangsu's efforts to integrate digital intelligence into practices benefiting women, children, and families. It is reported that Jiangsu is vigorously promoting the extensive and deep integration of artificial intelligence across various economic and social sectors and fields, aiming to have AI assist numerous industries, enter countless businesses, and serve millions of households, allowing more women, children, and families to experience the conveniences AI brings to daily life.
Artificial Intelligence + Healthcare: Comprehensive Protection for Maternal and Child Health "Previously, I always preferred taking my child to provincial capital experts for medical care. Now, with AI, even at our county hospital, my child can be seen by the best doctors in China. It's incredibly convenient," praised Ms. Wang from Donghai County, Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province. Since the beginning of this year, Jiangsu has coordinated key elements such as policy, data, technology, and application scenarios to fully integrate artificial intelligence into the entire healthcare chain. The province has held roadshow promotion meetings and thematic salons focused on "AI + Healthcare" and has established a provincial health cloud. This cloud aggregates a medical and health data resource system covering the entire population and all service areas across 13 districted cities and 95 counties. Donghai County People's Hospital has kept pace with AI development, taking the lead in deeply integrating a localized DeepSeek large model with its various business systems to innovatively create the "Quan Zhen Tong" smart healthcare service platform. To address shortcomings in pediatric care, the hospital introduced an AI pediatrician system. This system incorporates the clinical experience of 300 experts from Beijing Children's Hospital, covering the entire process from AI consultation and assisted diagnosis to examination recommendations and medication guidance. Its diagnostic capability reaches the level of an attending physician in a tertiary hospital and has cumulatively served 100,000 children within the county, effectively addressing the public concern of difficult access to pediatric care. Furthermore, Kunshan Maternal and Child Health Hospital has fully operationalized an AI medical assistant. The city has already implemented 19 AI application scenarios, including "Intelligent Assisted Medical Imaging Diagnosis" and "Intelligent Medical Insurance Audit," with 37 additional projects under construction. Starting with pathological diagnosis as an entry point, Taixing City has successfully introduced and deployed an AI-assisted diagnostic system, achieving an intelligent and digital upgrade for cervical cancer screening processes. Since its implementation, relevant departments have completed over ten thousand digital intelligent cervical cancer screenings.
Artificial Intelligence + Education: Opening the Door to the Digital Intelligence Era for Children When students encountered traffic congestion on the Jiangyin Bridge during a trip, they asked their teacher, Lu Zixing, upon return: "Can we build a bridge model that can 'ease congestion'?" As a full-time teacher at the Economic Development Zone Artificial Intelligence Education Base in Wuxi, Lu Zixing guided the children to brainstorm solutions: first, use cameras to observe real-time traffic flow on the bridge deck, then adjust lanes based on traffic direction during different periods. For instance, when traffic flow towards Jingjiang is heavy, open a "tidal flow lane" to improve traffic efficiency. "Thinking of an AI solution first when encountering a problem is the most valuable skill in the digital age," Lu Zixing said. To help children open the door to the intelligent era, Jiangsu is promoting the transition of artificial intelligence from a "teaching tool" to an "educational ecosystem" through systematic planning, scenario-based application, and ecological development. The Provincial Department of Education emphasizes application-oriented approaches to deeply integrate AI into all areas and links of education. Focusing on smart teaching and personalized learning, the province has independently developed a matrix of intelligent agents covering core subjects across all stages of basic education, creating the provincial subject intelligent agent brand "Su Xin Yan." It has also implemented an intelligent upgrade project for the Provincial Famous Teachers' Online Classroom, launching the dual-intelligence learning companions "Su Xiao Zhi" and "Su Xiao Hui" along with 20 teaching intelligent agents. These provide students with "second-level response" personalized learning support, constructing a new ecosystem for the deep integration of AI and education.
Artificial Intelligence + Women's Development: Continuously Stimulating Female Digital Potential "Women are an important force in technological innovation and application innovation," said Li Chunmei, Vice President of AISpeech Technology Co., Ltd. and Chairperson of the Suzhou Artificial Intelligence Industry Chain Women's Federation, during a recent specialized training session on organizational work for the Jiangsu Provincial Women's Federation. She delivered a lecture focused on AI applications in women's federation work. Li Chunmei introduced that AISpeech has nearly a thousand employees, with women accounting for over 30%, occupying key positions in R&D, testing, and product development. These women support the company's AI technology R&D, innovation, and industrialization, helping to build an "industry-academia-research-application" innovation map, a platform for achievement transformation, and a talent supply and demand platform specific to the AI field. It is understood that to provide policy support for women and children's development in the digital intelligence era, Jiangsu is leveraging the opportunity of drafting the provincial 15th Five-Year Plan for Women and Children's Development to promote the inclusion of content such as enhancing the digital literacy of women and children and bridging the digital divide. The Provincial Government Working Committee on Women and Children has incorporated "exploring and innovating 'AI + Women, Children, and Families' practices" into its 2026 work priorities. Additionally, the Provincial Women's Federation is exploring new pathways for "AI + Women's Federation" work, integrating AI courses into the training content for women's federation cadres across various lines. It has timely launched a special column, "Embracing the Digital Intelligence Era," to showcase practical examples of AI empowering women, children, and families, and has introduced the digital human anchor "Su Xin" for Jiangsu women, assisting more women to grow, succeed, and make contributions in the field of digital technology and innovation.
