China Medical (08225) has released its 2025 Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Report, detailing the group’s efforts to embed sustainable practices across its real-world evidence and digital healthcare businesses.
Environmental Performance • Greenhouse-gas emissions in 2025 totalled 5.17 tonnes of CO₂e, broken down into Scope 1 at 2.79 t, Scope 2 at 1.88 t and Scope 3 at 0.50 t. • The group set a target to cut absolute GHG emissions by 10% versus 2024 and to lift the share of renewables to 20% of its energy mix by 2025. • Measures already in place include ISO 14001-aligned waste-management systems, installation of energy-saving lighting and HVAC equipment, promotion of paper-less operations and employee incentives for public-transport use.
Social Contributions and Workforce Management • During the year the company staged awareness campaigns on World No-Tobacco, Allergy, Suicide-Prevention, Alzheimer’s and ALS Days, alongside fundraising initiatives such as the “Wanquan ALS Ice Bucket Challenge”. • Employment practices emphasise equality and diversity: of seven board directors, 28.57% are women, and independent non-executive directors account for more than one-third of the board. • A multi-tier training platform (“Wanquan University”) delivered orientation, technical upskilling and compliance courses; each director received at least 15 hours of ESG-focused training. • Benefits include social insurance, housing and meal subsidies; no breaches of labour laws, child or forced labour were reported.
Governance Enhancements • The board comprises two executive, one non-executive and four independent non-executive directors, supported by audit, remuneration and nomination committees. • An enterprise-wide risk-management framework—aligned with the COSO model—integrates ESG factors; a three-line-of-defence structure and a digital monitoring platform provide real-time alerts on energy usage, data-security training completion and supplier ESG scores. • The board confirms that no significant ESG non-compliance incidents occurred in the past two years.
Outlook and Targets China Medical will continue to align its clinical research, digital-health services and supply-chain practices with its stated 10% emissions-reduction goal and 20% renewable-energy target for 2025, while sustaining community-health programmes and robust governance standards.
