The multinational conglomerate reported a 9% increase in underlying profit for the first half ended June 30, rising to US$735 million from US$676 million in the previous corresponding period. In a further boost to shareholder returns, the board declared an interim dividend of US$0.65 per share, representing an 8% increase from US$0.60 in H1 2025, signaling management's confidence in the company's financial strength and outlook.
JMH shares had closed 0.6% lower at US$67.59 on Thursday, ahead of the earnings release. The better-than-expected results and higher dividend payout have since fueled strong buying interest in the stock during Friday's session, driving the sharp intraday rally.
