BOE's 8.6-Gen OLED Production Line Commences Volume Manufacturing Today, Triggering Stock Surge

Jun 17

On June 17th, BOE (000725.SZ) shares hit the daily upward limit at market open, rising 10% to 6.71 yuan per share.

The surge is linked to the commencement of volume production at the company's 8.6th-generation OLED panel production line in Chengdu today.

The products from this line are primarily medium-sized, high-value-added OLED screens for automotive and IT applications, which helps narrow the gap with Korean firms like Samsung in the OLED panel sector.

A company announcement on the same day indicated that with the industry-wide volume production of 8.6th-generation OLED production lines starting around 2026, catalyzed by this development, the penetration rate of OLED technology in both automotive and IT fields is expected to show an upward trend.
