Prudential plc (2378) Announces Purchase of 0.25 Million Shares

Prudential plc (2378) published details of its recent transaction in its own ordinary shares, carried out on 16 February 2026. According to the announcement, the company bought 0.25 million shares from JP Morgan Securities plc at prices ranging from £10.83 to £10.96, with an average price of £10.89 per share.

Prudential plc intends to cancel the repurchased shares. Following this transaction, the total number of shares in issue will be 2.54 billion. The company noted that shareholders can use this figure as the denominator when assessing potential changes to their shareholdings. The repurchase took place on the London Stock Exchange under both Listing Rules and Hong Kong Code provisions, reflecting the company’s multi-market listing status.
