Nov 10

On November 10, Meituan unveiled the public beta of its first AI-powered integrated development environment (IDE) product, CatPaw.

The product is designed around agent-human collaboration, leveraging AI-driven programming to support features such as code completion and project preview debugging. Users can download and install the tool from the official website, then obtain an invitation code via Meituan's official public account to begin testing. Initial accounts are granted 500 dialogue attempts, with additional quotas available upon request after exhaustion.

According to Meituan's CatPaw product lead, the tool was initially introduced internally in 2023 as an editor plugin before undergoing a comprehensive upgrade for public testing. Currently, CatPaw has achieved over 95% adoption within Meituan's internal R&D teams, with AI-generated incremental code exceeding 50%.

Additionally, CatPaw integrates Meituan's proprietary LongCat model, fine-tuned for programming scenarios, and supports hybrid model calls to optimize task execution.
