Shenzhen's AI enterprises are leading the charge in cutting-edge innovation, with breakthroughs in autonomous driving, AI-powered drug discovery, and robotics. Companies like Yuanqi Qixing have deployed "mapless intelligent driving" in 200,000 mass-produced vehicles, while Jingtai Technology has improved pharmaceutical efficiency by 5–8 times using AI. Xingchen Intelligent has achieved the industry's first mass production of tendon-driven robots.

During a recent research tour organized by Guangdong's Department of Industry and Information Technology, it became evident that Shenzhen's AI sector thrives on enterprise-driven innovation, technological breakthroughs, and real-world applications. The city has made significant progress in chip R&D, large-scale model deployment, and embodied intelligence, solidifying its position as a global AI leader. In 2024, Shenzhen's AI industry reached 360 billion yuan in scale, hosting over 2,800 enterprises—both metrics ranking among the nation's highest.

**Independent Chip Innovation Drives Industry Growth** Shenzhen-based companies are focusing on critical areas like chips and large-scale models to strengthen the industry's foundation. At the Heung Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park, Yuanqi Qixing demonstrated its autonomous driving technology, where test vehicles navigate, change lanes, and detect traffic signals without high-precision maps. Meanwhile, Jingtai Technology, a pioneer in AI-driven drug discovery, operates a 5,000-square-meter lab with over 200 AI robotic workstations—the world's largest commercial AI lab cluster. Its intelligent platform boosts experimental efficiency by 5–8 times and data collection by 40 times.

Yuanqi Qixing has also pioneered end-to-end and vision-language-action (VLA) models, delivering 200,000 vehicles equipped with urban NOA (Navigate on Autopilot) capabilities.

**Smart Manufacturing Expands Across Industries** Shenzhen's AI applications span diverse sectors, creating a "technology-scenario-industry" virtuous cycle. Xingchen Intelligent showcased its tendon-driven Astribot S1 robot, capable of preparing breakfast, brewing tea, and performing complex tasks with human-like dexterity. The company has overcome mass-production challenges, fulfilling orders for thousands of units.

Another standout, Shenyuan AI, introduced the world's first L4-level MasterAgent system, which generates multi-agent clusters in minutes to handle complex tasks. Its AI-generated digital artwork was featured at the National Games opening ceremony.

**Ecosystem Fuels Industrial Momentum** Shenzhen's innovation ecosystem, supported by policies like the "AI Pioneer City Action Plan (2025–2026)," accelerates industry growth. The city has nearly 2,000 AI-related firms, including 143 national-level "Little Giant" enterprises. Subsidies such as "computing power vouchers" and "data corpus vouchers" help reduce R&D costs.

By 2025, Shenzhen plans to open 100 additional AI application scenarios in healthcare, education, and industry, further validating and commercializing cutting-edge technologies.
