CONTIOCEAN (02613) announced its interim results for the six months ended June 30, 2025, reporting revenue of RMB 143 million, representing a 57.4% decline compared to the same period last year. Profit attributable to owners of the company reached RMB 6.945 million, down 91.6% year-on-year, while basic earnings per share stood at RMB 0.18.
The decrease in revenue during the period was primarily attributed to: (i) impacts on China's shipbuilding and shipping industries caused by geopolitical tensions and volatility from recent tariffs; (ii) adjustments to customers' shipyard maintenance and new shipbuilding schedules during the reporting period, resulting in delayed deliveries of certain high-value backlog orders secured before 2025; and (iii) the majority of new orders obtained by the company in early 2025 having longer delivery cycles, meaning these orders have not yet been completed and revenue has not been recognized during the reporting period.
