Prudential cancels 252,203 shares and spends about 8.9 million Singapore dollars on latest buyback

Prudential plc announced that it cancelled 252,203 ordinary shares on Mar, 02 2026 following a repurchase carried out on Feb, 26 2026. After the cancellation, the company’s issued share capital stands at 2,535,579,999 ordinary shares.

On Mar, 02 2026 the insurer repurchased a further 470,767 ordinary shares on the London Stock Exchange at prices ranging from GBP 10.98 to GBP 11.19, for a total consideration of about 8.9 million Singapore dollars. These shares are slated for cancellation.

The company also holds 304,099 shares repurchased on Feb, 27 2026 and 470,767 shares repurchased on Mar, 02 2026 that have not yet been cancelled. Under the current shareholder mandate approved on May, 14 2025, Prudential plc is authorised to repurchase up to 262.7 million shares, of which 71.6 million shares have been bought back to date.

The company is subject to a moratorium on issuing new shares until Apr, 01 2026.
