Adient PLC's stock soared 7.74% in pre-market trading on Wednesday, following the release of its first quarter 2026 financial results.
The automotive seating leader reported adjusted earnings per share of $0.35 for Q1 2026, significantly beating analyst estimates of $0.22. Revenue came in at $3.64 billion, also surpassing expectations of $3.49 billion. The company raised its full-year 2026 guidance for revenue to $14.6 billion, adjusted EBITDA to $880 million, and free cash flow to $125 million.
Adient's improved performance was attributed to better-than-expected business execution and an improved vehicle production outlook. The company also returned $25 million to shareholders through share repurchases during the quarter.
