Bank of Communications and China Securities Index Co., Ltd. have jointly introduced the "CSI Bank of Communications Yangtze River Delta Green Bond and Technology Theme Bond Index". In conjunction with this launch, BoCom Wealth Management has issued a themed wealth management product that tracks this index. The index compilation and release process received substantial support and guidance from the Shanghai Stock Exchange.

Serving as one of the Bank's Yangtze River Delta series of thematic bond indexes, this new benchmark integrates principles of technological innovation, green development, and regional advancement. It specifically concentrates on green and technology-driven industries within the Yangtze River Delta area. The index's constituent securities encompass green bonds, technology innovation bonds, and bonds issued by entities operating in the technology sector, all of which are listed on either exchanges or the interbank market. To qualify for inclusion, issuers must hold a credit rating of AA+ or above, with bonds having a remaining maturity ranging from one month to five years, and each individual bond's issuance scale must be no less than 300 million yuan.

As of now, the index comprises a total of 842 sample bonds, covering 327 distinct bond-issuing entities, with the combined outstanding bond balance surpassing 800 billion yuan. As state-owned financial institutions based in Shanghai, Bank of Communications, the Shanghai Stock Exchange, and China Securities Index Co., Ltd. collectively shoulder the crucial mission of executing the nation's "Five Major Financial Articles" and bolstering Shanghai's development as an international financial center. The introduction of this index and its associated wealth management product is anticipated to channel social capital toward green and technology initiatives in the Yangtze River Delta, thereby further elevating the standard of financial services in these priority sectors.
