Shenzhen's municipal authorities have rolled out a new strategic framework aimed at propelling the intelligent robotics industry to the forefront of global innovation.

According to the plan, jointly issued by the Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology and the Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Science, Technology, and Innovation, the city is targeting a major milestone by 2028: establishing itself as the world's most influential hub for intelligent robotics technology.

The blueprint outlines the creation of a dynamic industrial ecosystem, positioning Shenzhen as the nation's premier cluster for robotics innovators, a leading global center for both hardware and software integration in the sector, and a model international city for robotic applications.

Furthermore, the initiative seeks to build a robotics open-source ecosystem hub within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. These efforts are structured around a comprehensive development pattern, fostering growth across four key zones and centers to create a synergistic and globally competitive industrial landscape.
